Monte Bischoff Racing

From the beginning of his racing career in Bismarck, ND, through mini sprints in central California, to present day, Monte Bischoff’s desire to race has never diminished.  Entering his eighth year of dirt racing in Oregon, he is ready for his best year ever.

From his early teens, Monte Bischoff has had a yearning to go fast.  Now in his eighth year of dirt modified racing, that bug is still as strong as ever.

Another long time constant throughout his life, thanks to his father,  has been a love of Mopars.  Until 2011, Bischoff ran the only Mopar powered modified on the West Coast.  Each season his trusty Mopar helped bring wins and runner-up finishes in California, Oregon & Washington….until the late spring of 2011, when the usually trusty Mopar decided it had had enough and expired.  Monte decided then that the cost and difficulty of obtaining parts was no longer worth it and conceded to the use of the standard Chevrolet from now on.

Although only having a small block Chevy IMCA engine with which to finish out the season, Monte enjoyed one of his best years.  His “F1” modified finished in the top 5 consistently as the team ran tracks in California, Nevada, Oregon & Washington.  One of the biggest events was the week-long Wild West Modified Tour, in which he finished 6th overall out of 91 cars and 6 events.

The 2012 season will start with a new, larger Chevy engine, along with the small block IMCA Chevy.  Bischoff is also planning to have one new Mopar for back-up, just in case.  A new body and new colors will also be debuted.

With crew chief Dwayne Melvin and crew Clark Northcutt, Monte’s dad Larry, uncle Ray Mitchell and Pat Green, Bischoff is looking forward to an even more successful year in 2012.

Monte thanks his crew chief, Duane Melvin, and crew, Clark Northcutt, his Dad Larry Bischoff, uncle Ray Mitchell and Stacey Melvin for all the hours of work to get them to this level of success.  And he knows that without the love and support of his wife, Danika, and daughters, Hailey and Emma, it wouldn’t be nearly as much fun.
